Ayurvedic Recommendations

Since I often receive questions regarding the recommendations following an Ayurvedic consultation, I wanted to share a few tidbits and it's important to note that these suggestions vary from person to person. However, there are certain foundational principles that tend to apply across the board.
Before diving into those, I want to clarify a few things I do not recommend:
Completely eliminating something from your lifestyle.
Abruptly discontinuing any habits or practices.
Seeking a quick-fix solution.
Stopping any prescribed medications without prior consultation with your medical doctor.
Ayurveda is focused on identifying and addressing the root cause of any imbalance, rather than offering temporary solutions. Therefore, I don’t advocate for quick fixes. While the recommendations I provide are simple, they do require a moderate level of effort and commitment. In my view, balance and moderation are key.
Here are some common recommendations you can expect after an Ayurvedic consultation:
Tongue scraping as part of your daily routine.
Drinking warm water first thing in the morning.
Transitioning from iced water to warm or room temperature water.
Favoring cooked foods over raw foods.
Establishing a routine for eating and sleeping.
Making lunch your largest meal of the day.
Limiting screen time (especially for many individuals).
Taking time for self-care and prioritizing your own well-being.
These are just a few of the most common suggestions, though there may be others based on your unique needs. It’s crucial to remember that Ayurvedic practices don’t offer a "quick fix" because they aim to address the root causes of imbalances, not just the symptoms. Healing and balance take time, effort, and consistency—but they are certainly attainable.
Is it challenging? Not necessarily, but it does require some dedication. Rest assured; I am here to guide you through every step of the process. Whether you have questions, need additional suggestions, or simply want support, I am always available to assist you on this journey.
